There aren’t many DJs like Jim Shaft Ryan. As a pioneer of dance music, being one of its earliest adopters of culturally inspiring sounds, he has appeared at some of the biggest venues and raves on the planet. As if that wasn’t enough, he is also a leading creator of the internationally famous legendary brands Miss Moneypenny’s, Chuff Chuff, and Pout. He has directly affected and witnessed some of the most landmark moments in dance music. He’s literally seen and done it all and lived to tell the tale.
Jim is something of a visionary and an ambassador for dance music. He has been a DJ, with a deep love of music, since the early ’80s. Naturally, this has enabled him to craft a deep understanding of music. It’s this deep knowledge that you can hear in his sets and his productions. He is a believer that, every time he steps into the studio or steps behind the decks, he is going to create something unique.
It’s his passion for what is next and what is yet to come that drives him forward. A desire to create and reinvent whilst maintaining integrity through authenticity and respecting a deep heritage that he helped create is extremely important to him.
