The Peshay
Peshay’s early career started as he meant to go on. His gift as a producer was evident to to all those listening from the beginning. Tracks such as ‘Protege EP’, ‘19.5’, ‘Piano Tune’, and ‘Vocal Tune’ literally took the burgeoning drum and bass scene by storm and he quickly produced his way into the lore of the scene.
The consistently impressive releases continued with the tracks ‘‘Psychosis’, ‘Predator’, ‘On the Nile’ and ‘Nocturnal’ for Metalheadz. Major players in the scene at the time were taking notice and Peshay was asked to remix Goldie’s masterpiece ‘Timeless’. Huge acclaim followed this release further spearheading him forward. Then he remixed one of the most influential and iconic tracks of the scene at the time. None other than LTJ Bukem’s ‘Music’. Both remixes have stood the test of time and still sound fresh today which is a testament to Peshay’s production.
By this time he was as equally active as a DJ as he was a producer. Peshay was appearing at all the major raves at the time, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Fantazia and many others.
His sets at the legendary Metalheadz night at Bluenote in London are still talked about today. As Peshay himself says:
Playing Metalheadz at the Bluenote was always very special. You could play any style, with no restrictions about what you could play and the crowd always appreciated it. It was great to drop all the new cutting edge tracks that were being made at the time. It was so fresh and exciting. That time was one of my favourite eras of drum and bass and it was an honour and a pleasure for me to have been a part of it.

Miles From Home
By 1999 Peshay had signed to Island Records and the seminal releases continued to flow. His first album ‘Miles from Home’ was met with a wave of critical acclaim for its production quality and inventiveness. It was an instant classic and regarded as essential listening. An enviable arsenal of remixes from multiple musical genres had also been added to his resume.
Now busier than ever Peshay’s DJ skills were in increasingly high demand. Appearing worldwide from Brisbane to Boston, spearheading Drum and Bass with memorable appearances at all the major clubs and festivals.
Recent production outings have seen equally impressive releases with ‘Funkster EP’ on V Recordings, ‘Vanguard EP’ on Tru Thoughts and the album ‘Generation’.
2019 saw the release of ‘Angels and Demons‘ on J Majik’s label ‘Infrared Records’ which again received positive reviews and acclaim.
Peshay has a back catalogue that is breathtaking and 2019 sees him launching his ‘Peshay Music’ imprint which is set to astonish yet again. A 10-track album with ‘Sense’ in due for release entitled ‘Underground’ which will once again showcase the sounds and skills that have made his name synonymous with excellence.
