Able is a name originally associated with 130-140 style beats. Able’s sound has developed and traversed several genres before finally finding Drum & Bass. Having experienced significant success, it’s been a wild ride for Able so far. In the time he’s been producing he’s had several releases on incredibly legit labels such as Incurzion Audio, Oscity, Monk Audio, Bowlcut Beats, Royal Audio and Critical Music.
Able excels in crafting remarkably memorable minimal leftfield bass music. He’s also not averse to exploring the occasional off-piste tempo offerings. His latest EP ‘Pillar To Post’ on Critical Music is a fine example of his versatility as a creative producer. Following up last years EP on Critical Music’s Binary series, it’s his full debut on the main label. One listen and it’s very clear that this EP delivers four of his best tracks to date.
Able’s tracks have received support from many of the scene’s heavy hitters including Halogenix, Kasra, Randall and Insideinfo to name a few. And quite right too, as his beats and rhythms are painstakingly and intricately crafted. Once heard through a main rig they are extremely difficult to forget. He has the ability to define his own sound by weaving between dark dnb and more minimalist jump up offerings. All the while, expertly delivered in his unique Able style.
His DJ sets are as creative and intricately crafted as his productions. Able wants to take you on a journey through the many tempos and styles of DnB, able to play to the crowd as he is top the veteran heads he will leave you remembering his name and wanting a lot more.
