Melinki is one of the most forward-thinking and intricate producers of drum and bass today. With a string of prolific releases under his belt, he has made a name for himself both as a producer and a gifted DJ. Melinki has had music picked up and released by Celsius, Renegade Hardware, Dispatch, Fokuz, Emcee Recordings & Technique Recordings. Support for his music has been far-reaching and has gained attention from Noisia, Friction, Roni Size, Kasra, Erb N Dub, Philth, Kyrist and Radio 1’s Rele La Vice.
The late 2000’s saw Melinki lay the groundwork for his future success. In 2009 he won the Valve and Drum & Bass Arena DJ competition. This resulted in him playing on one of the most legendary Drum & Bass sound systems in the world. His set was noticed by DJ Target who asked him to feature on 1Xtra for his show ‘A Junglist Soundclash’. MistaJam followed and asked Melinki to feature on his ‘1,500 Seconds of Fame’ show. After winning the Hospitality DJ competition and having branched into production, his talents then saw him win the Innovation remix competition.
2018 saw Melinki start his new label ‘Four Corners Music’. The imprint has seen over 20 releases many of which have topped the charts. Four Corners showcases not only his own production but also up & coming talent.
2019 saw the release of his debut full-length album ‘The S.T.L Project’ on Fokuz Recordings. ‘The S.T.L Project’ allowed Melinki to express his creative production skills across all sub-genres. The album received wide critical and fan acclaim.
