[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]BPM’s Source Direct<\/a> will be appearing as part of Mixmag<\/a>‘s Lab LDN’s weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics<\/a>, where they showcase the finest DJs direct from their world famous office party.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2170″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Source Direct started out as a production duo and later became the solo venture of founding member Jim Baker. Jim is etched into the nucleus of the UK\u2019s electronic dance scene. His stellar discography dates back to the mid-90s across labels such as Astralwerks, Good Looking, Metalheadz, Virgin and Source Direct records. His releases stand the test of time for their visionary and futuristically twisted take on drum and bass and jungle. Such releases as Secret Liason<\/a>, The Cult<\/a>, Snake Style<\/a>, Exit 9<\/a> and Call & Response<\/a> are still regularly cited as a key influences and game changers by pioneering producers of today.<\/p>\n

2019 sees Source Direct firing on all cylinders. At Dekmantel last year his b2b set with Paul Woolford was the talk of the festival<\/a>. In the coming weeks he\u2019s got gigs lined up at Akv\u00e1rium Klub<\/a> in Budapest and fabric<\/a> in London. Re-releases of his 90s outings on Basement Records under the alias Oblivion<\/a> are also on the way. There\u2019s also new Source Direct material which is currently exclusive to his DJ sets. Additionally plans are in motion for the Source Direct Recordings label.<\/p>\n
